Viota 9.7-inch tablet sports Android 4.0, 1.5GHz chip, $120

A relatively unknown Chinese company called Viota brought its 9.7-inch, Android 4.0 tablet to CeBIT, unique thanks to its promised $120 price tag. The M970's specs are impressive for the price, and include a 1024x768 IPS display, 512MB of RAM, and a 1.5GHz Boxchip A10 processor. The demo unit was an engineering sample, so its build quality is said to be wanting, though the company said it plans on beefing it up in time for production.

There is just 4GB of storage space onboard, however. A front, two-megapixel camera is joined by a five-megapixel shooter on the back. The claimed 6,000mAh battery promises eight hours of life as well. Wi-Fi is built-in, as is a SIM card slot for 3G and microSD memory card port.

As Viota is an OEM supplier, the low price tag isn't what consumers will be seeing, although it may still be under $200.
